Boyle County Kentucky

With a population of nearly 28,500, Boyle County is the namesake of U.S. Representative and Kentucky Court of Appeals Chief Justice John Boyle. It was formed in 1842 from parts of Lincoln and Mercer Counties and is home to Centre College in Danville and the Perryville Battlefield. Boyle County contains 183 square miles. The County Seat of Danville is also home to the Constitution Square Historic site.

A part of the Bluegrass Region of the Commonwealth, Boyle County contains the cities, towns and communities of Aliceton, Atoka, Brumfield, Danville, Forkland, Junction City, Little Needmore, Mitchellsburg, Needmore, Parksville, Perryville, and Shelby City.
