Bath County, Kentucky
Bath County, with a population of just over 11,500, was established from land gifted by Montgomery County in 1811. The name was derived from the fact that natural springs located there were said to have medicinal properties. The county seat is Owingsville. Bath County is included in the Mount Sterling Micropolitan Statistical Area as well as the Lexington-Fayette-Richmond-Frankfort Combined Statistical Area.
